About Me


My name is Laura Burtan and I am the founder of Meditation for Change.
My Journey
I am a former corporate director who once lived in overdrive, managing intense responsibilities in risk and compliance. But in late 2021, my internal world came crashing down. I was navigating deep emotional overwhelm, anxiety, and panic attacks, that conventional tools couldn’t resolve. After years in high-pressure corporate roles, navigating risk and compliance, I reached a point where powering through was no longer sustainable. That’s when I fully committed to the meditation practice. I found myself called toward a different kind of leadership: one rooted not just in strategy, but in presence, transformation, and the power of the human spirit.
My Transformation
What followed was a deep journey of self-inquiry, healing, and transformation. Through the power of meditation, neuroscience, and embodiment practices, I began to reconnect with myself in ways I never thought possible. These weren’t just therapeutic tools, they were lifelines. They helped me regulate my nervous system, release limiting beliefs, and rediscover clarity, peace, and meaning.
What began as a personal practice evolved into a profound awakening. I immersed myself in Dr. Joe Dispenza's work, attended multiple advanced meditation retreats, and participated in global medical research studies at the retreats, exploring the intersection of science, meditation, and healing.

I began a profound inner journey. I meditated daily, rewiring my thoughts, calming my nervous system, and rebuilding my connection to life itself. What began as a lifeline became a transformation: from surviving to truly living. I healed, I grew, and unexpectedly, life began to open up: meaningful relationships, financial breakthroughs, a promotion to Director, and a deep sense of joy I hadn't felt in years.
Today, as a certified-to-be Meditation Facilitator, I help professionals in fast-paced workplaces transition from burnout and overdrive to grounded presence, emotional intelligence, and intentional leadership.
